Dear Sidney, In order to perpetuate the memory of the esteemed 8th Armored Division, and the decades of devotion of members of the 8th Armored Division Association, details for a follow-on organization are currently in the planning stages. This organization will have three goals: 1. Perpetual maintenance of the website. 2. Continued publication of some type of annual PRINTED newsletter for 8th ARMORED DIVISION VETERANS to keep updated on friends and news pertaining to the 8th Armored Division. This will be available to non-veterans on the website. 3. Oversight of the "Adopt-a-Grave" program for 8th Armored Division war dead who are buried overseas and development of a data base of the known final resting places of all men who served in the 8th Armored Division. Until the official formation of this organization, I will serve in a leadership role as an implied task of my position as 8th Armored Division Historian.
