S-4 After Action Report.
Period 0001 4 April to 2400 4 May 1945

Paragraph I - Supply:

  12 March to 4 May inclusive, change #4 to administrative order #4, 8th Armored Division.

There were no discrepancies in Class I, II, III, IV, and V Supplies. The availability and allocation were sufficient at all times. Our T O & E was complete except for seven Remote Control Equipment RC-261. Every effort was made to secure these items, with no success. The loss of these items caused unnecessary risk and hardships for our forward observers.

Paragraph II - Transportation:

Transportation facilities were adequate to meet our needs.

Paragraph III - Evacuation:

During the period covered by this report there were no vehicles knocked out or evacuated by this unit.

The men killed in action were evacuated by the Graves Registration Officer immediately

Paragraph IV - Road and Circulation:

This does not apply to this unit.

Paragraph V - Salvage and Captured Material:

The Battalion Salvage Team salvaged the following clothing and equipment which was turned over to Quartermaster:

50 Wool Sleeping Bags, 50 Case Water Repellant, 30 Blankets Wool O.D., 15 Tent Shelter Half, 8 Steel Helmets, 10 Liner Helmets M-1, and 40 Pistol Belts.

An Ordnance Salvage and Repair team was present with our Battalion, constantly checking and repairing weapons and returning them to their respective Batteries.

All captured enemy equipment was immediately reported to the Combat Command Headquarters.
